Knowledge is Power - Iran
Today, DEC.07/2009 few students from Iran University in Teeran fought well the national guard. They were claiming again that the elections on June were unfair and that the government is a dirty dictatorship. Are they wrong?
University is a place of ideas and free discussion, exactly the main threat to totalitarian regimes, like Khamenei has in its hands. When the government tries to manipulate the students into organized militias and pro-government movements like the Basiji Militia, mainly formed by pro-Iran regime students, the real intention is to spy the discussions and ideas that are held upon the resistance groups. Today 2.000 students marched into the campus to provide the resistance movement, whch suffered a lot of persecution and torture on the hands of the police after the strikes on Jun.12 elections.
MIr Houssein Mousavi is supposed to be the leader of this new protesters in Teeran. He was the defeated (?) candidate in Iran, and has the support of some developed nations in Europe and a share of support from the Obama government. He is acknowledged as a resistance simbol, and an intelligent opponent of Ahmadinejad and Khamenei, which can bring a lot of problems in the future.
When the students mobilize like that, it is time to worry about a regime change. Usually they are violent when treated and they all know technology very well. Twitter and You tube will be important weapons of propaganda and they will provide the picture inside the country. Foreign journalists and the press are forbidden to be close to the confrontations and can’t cover the real story behind the statecraft media. Than the students are posting more and more videos and tweets. The world’s public opinion can be aware of what’s happening, they just need to give it a try.
This can be the start of a real movement inside Iran. That will prove to everybody that interventionism only damages more the situation. If some students with attitude could really change Iran, than the US might see that Iraq people would defeat Saddan Husseim whenever they want to. It would be an important lesson for everybody.
Students have knowledge. Knowledge is power and can change, even the worst scenario.
